When you finish sewing, do you take a canned bottle of air and “clean your machine”? Well I hate to break it to you but you could be causing more problems.
Canned air moved the link to the feed dogs and below the bottom of the bottom. As a certified sewing machine tech, I have opened machines with the chief complaint that the thread is breaking or the fabric isn’t moving easily. It never fails the lint build up is disgusting.
Just like your car gets an oil change hopefully on a regular schedule, your sewing machine needs this also. At least yearly for the average sewer, it needs cleaned. It needs to be taken apart and cleaned, lubricated and looked at from top to bottom.
Do I need to oil my sewing machine
Every machine needs some sewing machine oil. Just a few drops in places where the parts are commonly touching. Every machine is different so looking on YouTube for the answer is not the best idea.
