    What is the easiest first thing to sew?

    I would start with the Casserole potholder as it is simple to make and doesn’t have intricate cutting and sewing

    Is there an easy trick to help me cut out pieces accurately when following a pattern while sewing?

    I love my quilting rulers and use those for cutting all the time. Make sure and double check your measurements before cutting. Also make sure you  have no selvage edges that you will want to cut first. 

    Where can I find good free sewing patterns?

    What Can I Sew in 30 minutes?

    If you are brand new to sewing, give yourself a few hours to complete a project. The apron and drawstring bag would be a great place to start. I also have a Tissue holder pattern that can easily be finished in an hour.
