- Yellow Fabric 3/4 yard
- Binding 3/4 yard if not directional
- Rotary cutter

Instructions for Free Baby Boy Quilt Block
Cut 3″ squares for all your fabric except binding.
Cut each square in half and assemble your smaller blocks. In other quilt patterns you will see this written as HST (Half Square Triangle) Fat Quarter shop has a great cheat sheet on HST’s
Assemble Your Squares
Sew a green triangle to another coordinating fabric until you have all the individual squares made. Use a 1/4″ seam allowance. Press your seams toward the green fabric.
For a 45×60″ baby quilt you need
- 120 Squares of the green fabric and another color for your free baby boy quilt block assembly
Assemble 2 Squares for Larger Square
Using the diagrams above you want to sew your 2 squares together using a 1/4 seam allowance. If you are creating a baby quilt you will want to chain stitch all your pieces so you can put them together later.
Create a Large Quilt Block
As you can see in the diagram, you are going to combine your squares using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Press your seams toward the darker fabric.
Your free baby boy quilt block is finished. You can frame those or use them for making a baby quilt.
